Website rebuild and search visibility for an automotive service group
A modern, findable web presence built to turn local searches into booked work.
For most automotive businesses, workshops, service centres and dealers, the customer journey now begins with a search, long before anyone picks up the phone. If the business is hard to find, or the website that greets a prospective customer is slow, dated or confusing, the enquiry is lost before it starts.
An automotive service group came to EITE with exactly that gap: solid work and a good local reputation, undermined by a digital front end that wasn’t bringing that reputation to new customers.
The challenge
The existing website was not earning its keep. It was hard to find in local search for the terms customers actually type when they need a workshop, and once a visitor landed on it, the site did little to turn interest into a booking. No clear structure guided a customer from “I need this service” to “I’ve made contact,” and no ongoing search strategy kept the business visible against competitors bidding for the same local attention.
Underneath the visible problem sat a more strategic one. The business had no reliable engine for demand. Work came largely from word of mouth and repeat customers, valuable, but not something you can scale or steer. To grow, the group needed a digital presence that did two jobs at once: convert the visitors it already had, and steadily widen the pool of people who found it in the first place.
What we did
EITE rebuilt the website around conversion. Rather than a brochure that simply existed, the new site was structured to move a customer toward an enquiry: clear services, clear calls to action, and a layout that works as well on a phone in a driveway as on a desktop. We rebuilt the technical foundations properly: fast, mobile-first, and structured so search engines can understand what the business does and where it does it.
On top of that rebuild, we put a structured SEO program in place as part of EITE’s Growth engine.
That means technical SEO to make sure nothing on the site holds it back, local search optimisation so the business surfaces for the geographic terms that matter, and an ongoing optimisation cycle rather than a one-off fix. Local search is where automotive businesses win or lose, and it rewards consistent, sustained work far more than a single burst of activity.
Throughout, the approach followed EITE’s People · Platforms · Processes discipline: a platform (the rebuilt site) that is genuinely fit for purpose, processes around content and search that can be maintained over time, and a single partner accountable for the whole rather than a web developer and an SEO agency pointing at each other.
Where it's at
A rebuilt, conversion-focused website is live, and an active SEO program is running to lift the group’s visibility in local search. As with any search engagement, the compounding value comes over the following months as rankings mature and the optimisation cycle does its work, so this is a foundation being built and worked, not a finished number to quote. What can be said plainly is that the business now has a digital front end designed to bring in work rather than simply describe it.
Why it matters
An automotive business doesn’t need a hundred marketing things. It needs to be found by nearby people who need it now, and it needs to be effortless for them to contact you.
Get those two things right visibility and conversion and the website stops being a cost and starts being a channel. That is what EITE was engaged to deliver, and it is the same two-part logic we bring to every service business competing for local demand.
